Do any of these feel familiar?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is more than just liking things clean or organized. It often involves intense, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental rituals (compulsions) done to ease distress. The cycle can feel exhausting, frustrating, and deeply isolating. If you’ve been trying to manage OCD on your own, you’re not alone. Therapy can help you break the OCD cycle and reclaim your peace of mind.

Our Therapeutic Approach

Our work with OCD is grounded in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the most effective and research-supported treatment for OCD. We also integrate CBT, ACT, DBT, and relational psychotherapy to meet your unique emotional and relational needs.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is the frontline treatment for OCD. It involves gradually and safely facing feared thoughts, situations, or sensations—without engaging in compulsive responses. Over time, this reduces the power OCD holds over you and retrains your brain to tolerate uncertainty and discomfort. ERP is highly effective and can lead to long-lasting change.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact. For OCD, it can support cognitive restructuring—helping you identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns that drive obsessive fears and compulsive rituals.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you relate differently to distressing thoughts or emotions, rather than trying to avoid or control them. This approach fosters psychological flexibility and encourages actions that align with your values—even when OCD shows up.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT offers tools for managing intense emotions, increasing mindfulness, and improving distress tolerance. It can be especially helpful if OCD co-occurs with anxiety, depression, or emotional dysregulation.

Relational Psychotherapy

Living with OCD can affect your relationships—and your sense of self. Relational therapy provides a safe, compassionate space to explore how your experiences, attachment patterns, and interpersonal dynamics shape your current challenges and strengths.
