Do any of these feel familiar?
- Hearing things others don’t.
- Feeling watched, followed, or like others can read your thoughts
- Believing things that others find hard to understand
- Struggling to trust people—even those close to you
- Finding it difficult to organize your thoughts or follow conversations
- Withdrawing socially or feeling disconnected.
- Worrying that something is off but not knowing what.
If you are having experiences like hearing voices, feeling suspicious of others, or sensing that something isn’t quite real, you may be navigating psychosis.
These experiences can be frightening and isolating—but you are not alone. Coping with unique experiences is more common than many people realize—and it is treatable. With the right support, it’s possible to better understand what’s happening, regain confidence in your mind, and build a fulfilling life.
Our Therapeutic Approach
Our approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBTp), a specialized and effective form of therapy designed to help individuals understand and manage experiences of psychosis. We also integrate elements of ACT, DBT, and relational psychotherapy to support your emotional, cognitive, and interpersonal growth.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp)
CBTp helps you examine the thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions that are causing distress. CBTp focuses on how unusual experiences impact you—and helps you relate to your unusual experiences in a way that reduces fear, confusion, and disruption. You’ll work collaboratively with your therapist to explore new ways of thinking, improve functioning, and find greater stability and clarity.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT supports your ability to hold distressing thoughts or voices more lightly—without letting them dominate your life. By identifying your values and committing to meaningful action, ACT helps you move toward a more fulfilling life, even when difficult experiences persist.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT offers practical tools for regulating intense emotions, building mindfulness, and tolerating distress. These skills can be especially helpful when experiences of psychosis are paired with anxiety, mood swings, or overwhelming emotions.
Relational Psychotherapy
Isolation and mistrust are often part of the experience of psychosis. Relational therapy provides a safe, supportive space to rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and understand how relationships—past and present—impact your mental health. Through the therapeutic relationship, you can also explore your sense of identity and connection.
